I would like to see Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples being recognised in the first/opening statement in the constitution.

Yes. This should be in the Constitution.

It must state that Australia recognises that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the traditional owners of the land and they are recognised asthe First Peoples of Australia.

Indigenous Australians must be given a guarantee in the constitution which affords them protection from all forms of racisim. All other Australians should be protected by the Racial Discrimination Act and the EO Act and this does not need the same level o

It is time to formally recognise Australias Firt Persons. They must have a voice and be able to put their case on matters that conern or affect their co mumities.
